Dear Reader,

On August 18, 2020, IIT Kharagpur celebrated its Foundation Day. On this occasion, the first G S Sanyal award by IITKGP Foundation was given to Prof. Shailendra Varshney. This yearly award recognizes a faculty member who epitomized the legendary Prof. G S Sanyal. Prof. Sanyal was revered by the students for his contributions to them outside of the normal academic environment. IITKGP also launched the new Academy of Classical and Folk Arts with exceptional support from KGPians Arjun Malhotra and Mukund Padmanabhan (Guru Krupa Foundation).

Music, Science and Technology find concurrence in Academics at IIT Kharagpur
