KGPian Vikas Mehrotra (ChemE/1985) Appointed Dean of Canadian Business School

Dr Vikas Mehrotra, a professor of finance at the Alberta School of Business, in Edmonton, Canada, was appointed as its dean, effective April 11, 2023. Mehrotra is a professor of finance at the Alberta School of Business, and a long-time member of the University of Alberta community, according to the announcement by the university.  Professor Mehrotra, a PhD (finance) from the University of Oregon (USA) and his research focuses on climate risk, family business, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, international financial markets, and environmental, social and governance analysis, the announcement stated.

A Request to Get in Touch by the 1974 KGP EE Batch

The IIT KGP 1974 batch is preparing to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of their graduation from their beloved institution and is searching for long lost classmates and hallmates.

So far, some 120 classmates of the 1974 graduating batch has come together and formed a private 1974 batch WhatsApp group sponsored by the IIT KGP Alumni Office. If you are one of the 1974 batch graduates and are not in the afforementioned WhatsApp group, please email to dilipbhavsar@hotmail.com the following information:

This  group has facilitated formation of smaller groups for hall and department level  minglings, one-on-one reconnections, and many impromptu, local reunionss. The group is also planning the grand Golden Jubilee Reunion to be held at IIT KGP in January 2024.
