There are a number of other ways to give to the IITKGP Foundation. Below you will find some popular options.

  • Volunteer-one can volunteer time to IIT Kharagpur causes directly with IIT or through the IITKGP Foundation. The IITKGP Foundation has numerous volunteer opportunities for its local chapter activities (organizing social, cultural, and/or professional events) and for its central leadership initiatives. Follow up with your alumni chapter for additional details.
  • Knowledge Sharing-By joining the Alumni Advisory Council, teaching short-term and/or permanently at IITKGP. This could also take the form of donating journals, magazines, and books to IITKGP.
  • Leverage Professional Position-fund projects at IITKGP, conduct research projects, donate equipment, and assist in University or corporate collaborations (such as internships).

The ability to double (or even triple) your donation is easy and something that we encourage you to pursue with your employer.
 
  • Employee Matching Gifts (also known as matching funds) are grants an employer makes to match its employees' charitable contributions. Usually associated with corporate grantmakers, employee matching gifts often are dollar-for-dollar, but some companies will give double or even triple the donation.
  • Matched Giving is when an organization (normally a company) matches the amount of fundraising an employee does for another organization (normally a charity). The fundraising of the individual or a group of individuals is matched from the company's own resources up to a pre-determined level.
