Mission and Vision of the IITKGP Foundation...
The mission of the IITKGP Foundation is to connect the alumni in the US and Canada, who number over 10,000, with their alma mater. They will stay connected by being informed of what's happening and the progress being made at their beloved institute. This connection will also take place by aiding in the development and improvement of IITKGP by the donation of funds to help with various needs on campus that may not be covered by government subsidies. The alumni have tremendous love for IIT Kharagpur and it's our purpose to facilitate and enhance connection and devotion to their alma mater.
The IIT KGP Foundation (USA) was started in 1991. The original article of incorporation can be viewed here. The IITKGP Foundation is registered as a non-profit organization with the US Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions to the IITKGP Foundation are tax-deductible for US taxpayers. Our US Federal Tax ID is: 47-0747227.
