Director PPC completed his tenure at KGP at the beginning of July. He shared the following on Facebook:

Dear Friends,

I am happy to inform you that today I have completed my tenure as Director of IIT Kharagpur and handed over charge to Prof. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, Deputy Director, who will officiate as the Director of IIT Kharagpur till a regular appointment is made.

It was an absolute privilege and honour for me to be in this position of Director, IIT Kharagpur, which is my alma mater, for almost six years. Over this period with your help and cooperation we have been able to achieve significant milestones not only for IIT Kharagpur but also for the Nation with far-reaching long-term benefits.

I gratefully thank all of you for your tremendous support, guidance and good wishes without which the successes that we have achieved would not have been possible. I request you to continue to help and work towards the betterment of this oldest IIT which has been the torch bearer of the IIT System for almost 70 years now.

Thanking you all again and look forward to meeting you all personally soon,
