Alumni Clock Tower Built

Dear Reader,

Dr. Amitabha Ghosh, who wrote the article on Chandrayaan-2 that was in our last newsletter (9/10), was inadvertently named as the former Director of IIT-Kharagpur. Dr. Ghosh received his BSc in 1991 and MSc in 1993 from IIT-KGP. He is the Chair of the Science Operations Working Group of the NASA Mars Exploration Rover Mission and was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT-KGP in 2017.

Below is a link to his September 9, 2019 article about Chandrayaan-2 published in The Indian Express.

"Chandrayaan-2: Why experimentation is important, and why the journey matters, too"

Another Prof. Amitabha Ghosh served as the Director of IIT-Kharagpur from 1997-2002. He is a Platinum Jubilee Senior Scientist of the National Academy of Sciences, India since 2012.
