The Google CEO addressed the students during YouTube's virtual graduation ceremony

NEW DELHI: The post-Covid world is starting to shape up, and it's looking different. The new normal now includes working remotely, and managing work and life while maintaining social distancing norms.

Taking a cue from the new emerging world order, video-sharing YouTube organised a virtual graduation ceremony on Saturday for students who won't receive their in-person farewell due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. And in attendance was a stellar crowd comprising former US President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, BTS, Lady Gaga, Malala Yousafzai, among others.

But what left a mark on the virtual crowd was Sundar Pichai's ('93) inspirational message to the 'Class of 2020' that encouraged them to be the change. In his speech to the outgoing students of 2020, the Google CEO said that while it can be difficult to find hope in these bleak moments, it is important to celebrate the knowledge that one has gained in these difficult times.
