IIT-Kharagpur (August 2020)

Dear Alumnus/Alumna,

Greetings from your Alma Mater!

I extend a heartfelt thanks to all our alumni for enjoying the celebration of 70th Foundation Day of IIT Kharagpur and the curtain raiser for the 'Platinum Jubilee Celebration' of the Institute. We are overwhelmed to learn that you all enjoyed the live telecast.

A short movie ‘Deep Stambh’ has been released on the auspicious occasion of the 70th Foundation Day of the Institute and was telecasted during the function. Here we share with you the Deep Stambh, a short movie depicting an incredible journey of IIT Kharagpur from Hijli Detention Camp to the Institute of Eminence.

Deep Stambh (lighthouse) presents the decade-wise journey of first, largest and the most dynamic IIT and the way it has been touching the lives of all its past, present and future stakeholders. As a lighthouse emits light to serve, assist and navigate the traveller, IIT Kharagpur has stood as the archetypal public good touching the lives of millions since its inception.
