Director V K Tewari shares festive greetings with KGP alumni and friends

Dear Friends,
Greetings of the festive season!

Life has taken an unprecedented turn this year. For almost nine months we have been hoping for a silver lining. While the wait is still on, the hope is getting stronger with each passing day as we take a step closer to the remedy, a healthier lifestyle and a smarter world. Let's celebrate this civilizational transformation with the symbolical victory of good over evil and the ascension of righteousness.

Our autumn festivities is the right occasion for us to invoke the divine blessings for the well-being of our society. From our prayers of roopam dehi, jayam dehi, yasho dehi, dwisho jahi, this year, let us seek good health for humankind and the wellbeing of all people especially in the economically weaker sections of the society. Let us also pledge our commitment towards discipline, hygiene, courage and compassion. Let our celebration not be an impediment to the health and social protocols of COVID-19 and our general well-being. Let us keep reaching out to those in society who need help and comfort. In this context, I would like to thank you for your generosity and contribution to the Alumni COVID-19 Relief Fund which has been helping tens of thousands of people around the IIT Kharagpur campus. We will continue to support this extended family of ours through your beneficence.

I hope you all a very happy Navratri and Durga Puja observance and wish you great hygiene-friendly Diwali celebrations ahead.

Regards,
V K Tewari
