This IIT Alumnus Is Building India's First Impact Social Network Sociocharge
New Delhi, 6th July 2021: Can you imagine how incredible it would be if we lived in a world where individuals were connected to each other over a shared purpose? How transformative the result if our youth became key stakeholders in solving pressing business-social challenges and creating a more equitable tomorrow? Would it not be a better world then if businesses were able to ingrain purpose in their value chain and boost profits while positively impacting communities around them?
Finally, wouldn’t it be awesome to have a platform where you could connect and get rewarded for working to advance the cause you feel most passionately about?
Hemant Shrivastava, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Purdue University, had this vision when he founded Sociocharge in 2018. He realized that an increasing number of people feel the need to contribute something positive through their work. A huge believer in leading with a purpose to bring fulfilment and create change, Hemant is a passion-filled advocate of the role of entrepreneurs and passionate individuals in creating sustainable changes.
