Information shared by Atal Agarwal ('17)

A group of 15+ KGPians met with Vinod Gupta in San Francisco this week to learn about his journey from KGP to being a successful entrepreneur in the U.S. It all started with a KGP senior - Vinod Gupta offering to treat the facchas at Cheedis - The Spice of America restaurant in San Francisco. He talked about the old KGP days - the memories with Kalaikonda friends, his memories on Day 1 at KGP, feelings of sadness while leaving KGP on the last day, how he started the journey in America with a $100 loan to a successful business. The KGP batches range from 2012-2020.

A picture from the event is shown on the left.

Vinod commented on the meeting, "It was fun being with the young generation who are so smart, so eager, and overall fabulous. These young people are like my grandchildren and they were curious to know what IIT Kgp was like 60 years ago".

KGP students would plan similar events in the future and all KGPians in Bay Area are invited to join this WhatsApp group to know details: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KHSGnHsazYdJlBym64RY6t
