First recipient of the "Vinod and Kiran Jain 1970 Batch Student Award" announced

The first Vinod and Kiran Jain Student awardee sponsored by the IITKGP Batch of 1970 announced. As per Ron Gupta, representative of the fabulous batch of 1970, Ayan Chakraborty a 4th-year undergraduate student in the Department of Electronics & Electrical Communications Engineering, has been awarded the first Vinod and Kiran Jain scholarship. Announced at the 2020 Golden Jubilee of the Batch, the award was formulated by this batch in appreciation for the hosting of the get together in Kolkata.
Short Bio of Ayan (photo on left):
Ayan Chakraborty is a 4th-year undergraduate student in the Department of Electronics & Electrical Communications Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. He is from Kolkata, West Bengal. He aims to pursue a career in academia. His research interests lie in the domain of High-Performance Computer Systems & Design Automation. He will be joining EPFL for his Ph.D. after graduating from IIT Kgp.

Thank you for the generous endowment and for establishing the Student Award. I am grateful to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious award. I will be attending EPFL for my Ph.D. after graduating from IIT Kgp. The scholarship amount will greatly help with the initial costs of moving and settling in.
