Kgpian Ramanarayan Mohanty in Conversation with INDIAai

Kgpian and Artificial Intelligence expert Ramanarayan Mohanty was recently interviewed by INDIAai, a joint initiative of MeitY, NeGD, and NASSCOM. Mohanty is a research scientist at PCL India-Intel Labs and an expert in Graph AI, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. He did his graduate (2015) and doctoral studies (2019) at IIT Kharagpur.

 

Mohanty talked about his casual interactions at IIT KGP over chai adda that led to his interest in Machine Learning algorithms, “a scorching topic” he calls it. For AI career aspirants he recommends learning AI by practicing. “Either by reading research papers, trying to understand and implement them to reproduce the results, or implementing small capstone projects is the most effective way of progress,” Mohanty says.
