Lt Gen Rajesh Pant (retd) ('84), IIT-KGP alumnus, will be taking over the charge of National Cyber Coordination Centre' chief (NCCC) from Gulshan Rai, India's first Cybersecurity Chief, who has served a stint of four years and will demit office on March 31.

Currently, Pant is serving as an Officer on Special Duty at the NCCC. He has more than 10 years of experience in top level Defense IT and Telecom training centre. Also, he is a founding member of India's indigenous Electronic Warfare (EW) programme.

National Cyber Coordination Centre is a classified project of Indian Government, which works as an operational cyber security and e-surveillance agency in India. The centre coordinates cyber security intelligence, mitigating online threats and handles National security. (Link to story)
