Farmers in India reportedly lose 30% of their harvest every year because of the lack of proper storage infrastructure and facilities. To address this issue, three IIT-Kharagpur graduates, Devendra Gupta ('10), Prateek Singhal ('11), and Vivek Pandey ('12), developed the Ecofrost, a solar-powered cold storage unit.
With Ecofrost, farmers can increase their products' shelf life to 21 days and easily control the temperature with their phone.
