IITs receive lessons from IT biggies on future needed tech skills

MUMBAI/NEW DELHI: Leading software and IT services companies such as Infosys, Accenture and TCS are working with universities and engineering colleges across the country to help students gear up for modern job requirements by tweaking their cirricula and training faculty on newer technologies.
The companies are partnering institutions such as National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) to make their cirricula more industry specific in line with the growing dominance of future technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics, industry and academic insiders told ET.
Even the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are regularly revisiting their course curricula with inputs from industry. (Read More)
