Dear KGPian,

The National Institutional Ranking Framework has just released their 2020 evaluation of the various programs in India. You will be glad to know that the Architecture program at IIT Kharagpur has been ranked number one for the third year in a row in India. For KGPians, particularly the architectural graduates, it is indeed a great honor. In the early days, Architecture at KGP was the only non-engineering program in the IIT system. The architecture students, even today, are the back-bone of the extracurricular activities, including but not limited to organization of rangoli and spring festival programs, student officers electioneering, hall programs and numeous other volunteering activities. As an architecture graduate of the 1970 batch, I am proud of my days at KGP, and support provided to/by all other disciplines. Architecture ka tempo high hai.

In the coming weeks, we will feature the other schools/departments in which IIT-Kharagpur has excelled in the rankings.
