IIT-KGP to get a $50,000/year donation from Mukund Padmanabhan of USA to support student internships

Dear Reader,

Alumnus Mukund Padmanabhan ('87) has given back to KGP for the establishment of ten student fellowships, five of which will be for incoming scholars to KGP and five for outgoing scholars from KGP. Recently, under the name of Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF), a non-profit organization that was created by Mukund, a large donation was given to the newly created Academy of Classical and Folk Arts at IIT Kharagpur. We will make sure to keep you updated on the future progress of both projects!

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITKGP) will be creating ten student fellowships that will support five incoming students to KGP and five outgoing students from KGP.

Vinod Bhardwaj ('67) was the pioneer of the Ethernet network switch. After graduating from KGP in 1967 he came to the US. He sold Kalpana, the Ethernet switch, to Cisco.
