Chandralekha Singh ('88) named President of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT)

Chandralekha Singh ('88) was named the new President of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) in February. Prior to taking over as President, she served on the Board of Directors at AAPT in the roles of President-elect and Vice President.

Chandralekha Singh and Jeremy Levy have set up the "Chandralekha Singh and Jeremy Levy Student Excellence Awards" in the memory of Prof. Mandakini Majumdar and Prof. G.P. Sastry. These awards are in their second year of being awarded to KGP students. Below is a link to information about the first awardees. We will share the second year awardee information in an upcoming newsletter.

Chandralekha Singh ('88) becomes the President of the American Association of Physics Teachers

During the 2020 Winter Meeting in Orlando, Florida, the presidential gavel was presented to Dr Chandralekha Singh. She will serve as President of the American Association of Physics Teachers for the coming year.
