IITKGP Alum Dr. Anshumali Shrivastava and Rice Computer Science Professor Receives Outstanding Achievement Award

Anshumali Shrivastava (2008/M.Sc./Mathematics and Computing) was recognized by Rice University with the Charles W. Duncan Jr. Achievement Award for Outstanding Faculty! The award honors tenure-track or tenured faculty demonstrating outstanding performance in both teaching and  scholarship. Anshumali has also founded Houston-based ThirdAI which has already received $6 million in funding. Prof. Shrivastava considers himself incredibly fortunate to have received recognition of this stature because initial milestones are always special and well-cherished. He attributes a large part of his success to the student community he works with at Rice.

IIT Kharagpur Students Receive Scholarships from the Guru Kripa Foundation (GKF) for Overseas Research Internships in Summer 2023

In collaboration with the IITKGPF (USA), the Guru Kripa Foundation (GKF) scholarship was awarded to 10 IITKGP students. This is the 2nd year that the GKF Scholarship will be used by IITKGP students to carry out their research internship in foreign universities. 10 students were selected by an IITKGP selection committee for a total scholarship award of $45,000.  Each scholarship ranged from $1,000 to $5,000 depending upon the funding received by the student from their host institutions. The GKF scholars are doing their summer research internship at premier universities in the USA, UK, Belgium, Canada, and Germany. 

The funds are donated by IITKGP alum Mukund Padmanabhan and his Guru Kripa Foundation (GKF) - www.guru-krupa.org.
