A CALL to SNites, IGites, and KGPians...

When we recall the past, we usually find that it is the simplest things - not the great occasions - that in retrospect give off the greatest glow of happiness."   Bob Hope

The "Essence 97 - WhatsApp" group is my life saver….this is a group of absolutely amazing, accomplished, emphatic women who empower, encourage and support each other during good and bad times.  This is friendship of nearly 30 years!!

It was June 1993 when we met each other in SN Hall, each of us leaving our home for the first time and entering a world with apprehension and hope. SN/IG hall was my first home away from home and that sense of belonging is what brought us together as a batch that slowly turned into lifelong friendship. This is the place where we would have long bhat sessions, sing, dance, group mugga, practice for innumerable inter hall competition, give our sweat to win ILU, Rangoli and in general have masti.

I look back and appreciate what a blessing it has been to stay in SN/IG and today when I see what condition the hall is, I feel a strong desire to contribute to make this a great place to live for our future SNites. Our student dorm, SN/IG, is in dire need of renovation.

As an alumnus, we kindly ask for your support to help us provide a comfortable and modern living space for our current and future students. Your donation will go directly towards upgrading our SN/IG facilities, including modern amenities, new furniture, and improved infrastructure. Your generosity will make a real difference in the lives of our students, providing them with a safe and comfortable home away from home.

Please donate generously; we will soon launch a more expansive fundraising campaign to encourage all KGPians to help with this effort. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of all the students who will live in SN/IG Hall in the future.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Simmi Sood
