Arjun Malhotra Honored with Global Leadership Award

Arjun Malhotra (‘70, Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering) has been selected to receive the One World One Family Global Leadership Award at the World Cultural Festival 2025 in Karnataka, India. The honor recognizes his exemplary leadership in driving business with purpose and creating social impact on a global scale.
A pioneer of India’s IT revolution and co-founder of HCL, Arjun has combined entrepreneurial excellence with a deep sense of social responsibility. Beyond his professional achievements, he has been a tireless supporter of education and innovation at IIT Kharagpur—mentoring students, empowering research, fundign startups, and contributing to numerous institutional initiatives through the IITKGP Foundation.
Arjun’s lifelong commitment to service reflects the true spirit of vasudhaiva kutumbakam—“the world is one family.” Whether championing technology for social good or advancing opportunities for the next generation, he continues to embody the values that make the IIT Kharagpur community proud.
