Nehru Hall Ka Tempo Kicks-Off Major Modernization Project on March 29th

Dear Reader,

'Nehru Hall of Residence was opened almost 70 years ago with the motto 'sa vidya ya vimuktaye,' meaning knowledge that leads to liberation of the thought. Since then, the population has increased to almost 500 without any significant improvement in the infrastructure. This project will modernize each and every room, expand the common room, modernize the dining hall and the kitchen; and provide modern amenities necessary for a college of this National stature,' says Ron (Ranbir) Gupta. Ron is one of several Nehruite alumni who are leading this modernization effort.

Nehru Hall will be holding a kick-off event on March 29, 2022 (9pm IST/ 8:30am PDT/ 10:30am CDT/ 11:30am EDT), to usher in the beginning of their major modernization project.

IIT Kharagpur signs MoU with state-run iron ore miner NMDC for drone-based mineral exploration

NMDC, which is India's largest iron ore producer, will partner with IIT KGP to develop spectral products, methods and algorithms for exploration using UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) for mining.

Shishir Modi ('12) appointed Chief Growth Officer at KarmaLife

Prior to coming to KarmaLife, Modi ('12) was a Cofounder and Chief Business Officer at Niki.ai. He was awarded the Young Alumni Achiever award from IIT KGP and was also a part of Forbes 30 under 30.
