KGP alumni founded retail tech startup, NutriTap, raises $1.5M in funding

The company which was founded in 2018 by Rajesh Kumar ('04) and Priyank Tewari ('07) creates alternate retail channels for brands to do direct-to-customer (D2C) retail.

IIT KGP Distinguished Alumnus Award (DAA) & Young Alumni Achiever Award (YAAA) nominations sought

IIT Kharagpur recognizes the professional achievements and contribution of its alumni through the DAA and recognizes young and promising alumni through the YAA. Online submissions must be completed by June 5, 2022.

Oxford physicist and KGPian, Subir Sarkar ('74, '76): 'Need to address fears around nuclear plants'

Sarkar was a speaker at the Conference on Macrocosmos, Microcosmos, Accelerator and Philosophy 2020, held at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata (the event had been delayed due to the pandemic).

IIT Kharagpur study to make school pool cars safer in Bengal

The study is being conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kharagpur and aims to make pool cars used by school children safer.

Mani-Fest 2022: Directions in Theoretical Physics being held at UCLA to celebrate Mani Bhaumik ('58)

Mani-Fest 2022 is a conference being held at UCLA to celebrate the 5th year of the Mani L. Bhaumik Institute of Theoretical Physics, as well as Dr. Mani L. Bhaumik's 90th birthday. The conference is being held a year late due to the pandemic.

PanIIT USA announces two scholarship programs

The two scholarship initiatives are announced as a service to IIT alumni in the USA, one being a graduate student scholarship and the other a high school scholarship for children of IIT alumni. The application deadline for both is June 15, 2022.
